Jake Paul’s mum branded Mike Tyson a ‘bitch’ after the 58-year-old slapped her son at the weigh-in ahead of their Netflix fight on Friday.

Two-time world heavyweight champion Tyson and Paul, a YouTube star turned boxer, faced off for one last time on Thursday night ahead of their bout, which will be available to watch live on Netflix at around 4am GMT on Saturday morning.

Iron Mike, whose last professional fight was a defeat to Kevin McBride in June 2005, weighed in at 16st 4lb, while Paul tipped the scales a pound lighter at a career-heaviest 16st 3lb.

However, the pair clashed as they went head to head, with Tyson hitting Paul with a huge right-handed slap across his face.

‘I didn’t even feel it. He’s angry. He’s an angry little elf,’ Paul said after the incident.

‘Mike Tyson, I thought that was a cute slap, buddy, but tomorrow you’re getting knocked out.’

Paul’s mother, Pam Stepnick, was in the crowd to witness Tyson’s attack and when asked about the slap by FightHype she replied: ‘He’s a bitch.’

Paul also shared a hug with his mum after the weigh-in where she said: ‘I’m going to kill Mike Tyson for you.’

Paul laughed and replied: ‘You slap harder than him.’

When asked about the slap, Tyson revealed that he reacted after Paul had stepped on his foot during the face-off.

‘I was in my socks and he had on shoes,’ Tyson said.

‘I wanted to think it happened by accident. But now I think it may have happened on purpose. I was in a lot of pain, I had to reciprocate.’

Paul has won 11 of his 12 professional boxing fights so far, with his only defeat coming in a split-decision loss to Tommy Fury in February last year.

Paul’s last bout was against MMA fighter Mike Perry in July where he beat the 33-year-old by stopping him in the sixth round.

Friday night’s fight against 58-year-old Tyson is scheduled to go for eight rounds, with each rounds lasting two minutes.
