Montreal police arson investigators have been called in after a car was set on fire early Friday while parked outside a residence in the borough of Anjou.
The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. outside a residence on Émile-Legault Ave. near Jean-Desprez Ave.
The fire was extinguished by Montreal firefighters but the vehicle is a total loss, police said. A second nearby vehicle and the residence itself suffered minor damage from the flames.
Montreal police said a man was seen setting the car on fire before fleeing the scene.
No injuries were reported and no arrests had been made by sunrise Friday.
