Woman accused of assault, smashing 14 car windows with bat in Saskatoon

A 42-year-old woman in Saskatoon is accused of damaging 14 vehicles and assaulting another person with a baseball bat.

City police said the woman faces more than a dozen mischief charges after multiple vehicle windows were broken early Monday morning.

Officers were called around 2 a.m. to the 100 block of Pichler Crescent after a report of a person using a bat to break vehicle windows. Police at the scene found a woman matching the description of the suspect, and she was arrested without further incident, police said.

Officers searched her and found a knife; they also located a baseball bat at the scene.

The woman’s charges include 14 counts of mischief under $5,000, possession of a weapon, concealing a weapon, and assault with a weapon.
