It all started at Atlanta’s Blue Flame Lounge.
“After the good times (Dave Chappelle) hugs me and says ‘We should go on tour!’” four-time Grammy winner Killer Mike shared on Instagram.
Starting Nov. 15, Chappelle’s tossed-off suggestion will become a reality when he and Killer Mike take off on their eight-show ‘Talkin’ That S— Tour.’
The pair are slated to swoop into New York City’s The Theater at Madison Square Garden on Thursday, Nov. 21.
According to a press release, ‘Still Talkin That S—‘ shows will feature a “fusion of music and comedy” and a joint set the co-headliners will perform at the same time.
As of now, there’s no word on whether or not Killer Mike’s Run The Jewels bandmate El-P or any other special guests will drop in. All we know for certain is that Killer Mike will be backed at all shows by his Mighty Midnight Revival Band, who accompanied him on his past few solo albums.
If you want to see the live-wire headliners live, it isn’t too late to scoop up last-minute tickets.
At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find on seats for any one show on the run was $161 before fees on Vivid Seats.

Killer Mike new music
This year, Mike dropped “Songs For Sinners And Saints” with the Mighty Midnight Revival Band.
Comprised of ten urgent tracks, the album is a nonstop assault of the senses as one might expect from Killer Mike and his speedy flow. More surprising though is the music that accompanies his rhymes. Gospel, Motown and R&B permeates through the record — as does a sample of Trillville’s 2003 classic “Neva Eva.”

Dave Chappelle controversy
Since his 2016 return to stand-up following an extended hiatus, Chappelle has made waves for his insensitive material about the transgender community, most notably in his Netflix specials “Sticks and Stones” and “The Closer.”
Rather than apologize for his remarks, he doubled down and defended his bigoted point of view.
As a result, many big names have spoken out about his baseless attacks.
“Dave Chappelle making jokes about trans people directly leads to violence, whether it’s verbal or otherwise, against trans people,” said US soccer star Megan Rapinoe in an interview with Time Magazine.
Fellow comic Wanda Sykes shared with Variety that Chappelle’s material was “so hurtful and damaging to the trans community.”
That didn’t stop Chappelle from going after other marginalized groups.
In November 2022, Chappelle was asked to host NBC’s “Saturday Night Live.” On the program, he made several anti-Semitic jokes in his 20-minute monologue.
At the time of publication, Chappelle has not issued a sincere apology to either community. His inflammatory material also caused Netflix employees to walk out in protest.
“We value our trans colleagues and allies, and understand the deep hurt that’s been caused,” a Netflix spokesperson said at the time. “We respect the decision of any employee who chooses to walk out, and recognize we have much more work to do both within Netflix and in our content.”
