The end of “Full House” reunions? How rude!
Luckily for Jodi Sweetin, she’s ready to get the original gang — including John Stamos, Dave Coulier, Lori Loughlin, Candace Cameron Bure and Andrea Barber — back together at any time.
“I’ve learned in this business never say never,” the actress, 42, exclusively told The Post at the Scleroderma Research Foundation’s “Cool Comedy – Hot Cuisine” event earlier this month. “I’m totally down for it. I’ve been saying we need to do the ‘Golden Girls Fullest House.’”
Sweetin teased, “Give it a few years and we’ll be like appropriate old lady age. I think we could do it.”
Although one member will be missing — Bob Saget, who played the beloved Danny Tanner, died at age 65 in 2022 from blunt head trauma sustained after a fall in his hotel room.
The star noted, “It’ll always be different without Bob.”
“He is the heart of the family in so many ways,” Sweetin continued. “But I think the rest of us would definitely love to do it.”
And the “Fuller House” vet continues to honor Saget’s legacy by showing up to causes that were so near and dear to the late comedian’s heart, including the Scleroderma Research Foundation’s fund-raiser.
“It was funny,” Sweetin mused. “I was just in the car on the way over here, and it was a weird moment, and I said to my husband, ‘Oh, that’s right, I forget Bob’s not going to be here tonight.’ It was always Bob was going to be here. I’m just so honored that so many people continue to fight for research for funding for scleroderma.”
She added, “My grandmother had the disease also and it affects so many women, so many people. It is really powerful to see everyone still show up and I know that Bob would just be thrilled.”
He was America’s dad throughout the ’80s and ’90s but Sweetin learned a lot from Saget.
“To laugh at the most horrific things possible,” she confessed. “If you’re going through it just laugh at it. It takes the power away. And Bob was great at being able to walk through some really painful stuff and laugh at it and get through it. So, that’s something I carry with me all the time.”
Looking back at the Hollywood icon’s life, Sweetin reminisced on one of her favorite traits of Saget — and one many fans wouldn’t be surprised to know.
“I don’t think anyone would be surprised to know that Bob talked on the phone more than anyone — like even in the days before cellphones. We had a set phone onstage, it was a corded phone. He would wheel it around and he would be on the phone like in between scenes, it was hilarious. Once we had the phone in our hands it was a constant,” she shared.
“One thing you did always know about Bob… you could text him and get a hold of him because the phone was going to be right there.”
One thing remains clear: the “Full House” cast is a family and will no doubt come together one more time after Coulier, 65, revealed his cancer diagnosis on Wednesday.
Coulier appeared on the ‘Today’ show and shared he has stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma. The podcast host said he first noticed his symptoms several months ago when he got a cold and then spotted a large lump in his groin.
“It swelled up immediately,” Coulier stated. “I thought, ‘Wow, I’m either really sick, or my body’s really reacting to something.’”
The ’90s icon visited a doctor and was informed of his diagnosis five weeks ago, which came as a complete shock to him and his wife, Melissa.
“The first thing I said to them was, ‘Wait a minute — cancer?’” he recalled. “(I was) feeling like I got punched in the stomach because it never happens to you. You always hear about it happening to someone else.”
Coulier confirmed that he started chemotherapy two weeks into his diagnosis.
“You hear chemo, and it scares the daylights out of you,” he said. “The first round was pretty intense because you don’t know what to expect. You don’t know how you’re going to feel. Is this going to hit me immediately? Is it going to be devastating? Am I going to walk out of here?”
Coulier said he has six rounds of chemo every three weeks and is expected to finish his treatment by February.
“It’s been a bit of a roller coaster. There (are) days where I feel unbelievable,” he shared, adding, “Then there’s other days where … I’m just going to lay down and let this be what it’s going to be.”
