Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady “were open” to expanding their family before they called it quits in 2022, a source exclusively tells Page Six.
“Gisele and Tom were open to having another child during their marriage,” the insider tells us Wednesday.
“But it wasn’t something they were actively trying to do.”
The supermodel, 44, and Super Bowl champion, 47, already share son Benjamin, 14, and daughter Vivian, 11. They also co-parented Brady’s son with ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan, Jack, 17.
But their potential plans came to an end when they filed for — and finalized — divorce in October 2022 after 13 years of marriage.
Bündchen moved on with her jiu-jitsu instructor, Joaquim Valente, a few months later as the two began dating in June 2023.
And although the two have kept their relationship tightly under wraps, news broke last month that Bündchen and Valente, 37, were expecting their first child together.
“Gisele feels blessed to be having another baby and she’s soaking up every moment of this pregnancy,” the source tells us.
“Gisele has always known she’s wanted to have a large family. She comes from a big family herself and it’s something that she wants for her own children,” the source continued.
“Gisele’s sisters are her best friends and she’s really close to all of them, especially her twin sister, Pati. So she’s happy to be able to give that to her own children.”
The Brazilian model and the jiu-jitsu trainer were spotted out for the first time on Saturday since their pregnancy news made headlines.
Despite this exciting new chapter in their lives, another source previously told us the couple isn’t rushing to get married “anytime soon” and they’ll “live together for now.”
Reps for both Brady and Bündchen did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
