Forever’s on deck for Olympic snowboarder Shaun White and longtime girlfriend Nina Dobrev.
The three-time Olympic gold medalist, 38, popped the question to “The Vampire Diaries” alum, 35, after five years of dating, Vogue revealed Wednesday.
“I went into shock. I just froze and stared at him,” Dobrev said of White, who presented his bride-to-be with a dazzling five-carat diamond ring by famed jeweler Lorraine Schwartz.
White, who began dating Dobrev in 2019, surprised the “Love Hard” star with an intimate proposal at The Golden Swan restaurant in New York City’s West Village neighborhood.
Dobrev was under the impression she was attending a CFDA/Vogue dinner with the publication’s editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour, a guise set up by White.
“He made the invite look so legitimate,” Dobrev recalled to Vogue.
Upon accepting White’s proposal, Dobrev and her future husband enjoyed champagne and caviar with friends — not to mention takeout dumplings and Shake Shack.
“Eventually we realized — other than the caviar — we hadn’t eaten anything,” White told Vogue.
A five-time Olympian, White won the gold medal in the halfpipe across three Winter Games (Torino in 2006, Vancouver in 2010 and Pyeongchang in 2018).
White finished his Olympic career at the 2022 Beijing Games, placing fourth in the men’s halfpipe.
“A lot of emotions hitting me right now. Just the cheer of the crowd and some kind words from my fellow competitors at the bottom. I’m so happy. I just want to thank everybody for watching,” White said afterward.
Dobrev, who went public with her relationship with White in 2020, posted a heartfelt tribute following the conclusion of his Olympic career.
“I am in awe of you. Today we are celebrating you. Your hard work. Your passion. Your determination. Your talent. Your class. Your fearlessness. Your courage. Your soul. Your heart. YOUR LEGACY. I couldn’t be more proud,” she posted on Instagram in February 2022.
“… The end of one chapter, means the beginning of an exciting new one with endless possibilities.
You will forever be the G.O.A.T. of snowboarding. Not to mention you are also the G.(B).O.A.T. = Greatest Boyfriend Of All Time.”
