A much-loved dog groomer has died in Turkey after travelling to undergo surgery.
Hayley Butler, 40, was the owner of Diva Dogs in Norwich, and reportedly suffered complications after a gastric sleeve surgery before passing away in the UK.
The Eastern Daily Press reported flowers and cards have been left outside of the business after news of her death spread.
Co-worker Jessica Carter said: ‘There’s so much to say about Hayley it’s impossible to fit it all into words. She was just unapologetically Hayley.
‘She was amazing at her job and so knowledgeable. I’ve been a groomer for 10 years and I learnt so much from her.’
Hayley’s mum, Gillian Moore, said she is ‘heartbroken’ over the loss of her ‘soul mate, friend and rock’.
She added: ‘Hayley was the most happy-go-lucky, caring person – she was always worrying about other people. My life will never be the same without her.’
Tributes have been paid to Hayley on social media by former customers and friends.
One wrote: ‘I just can’t believe it, her poor friends and family. This is such tragic news.’
Another recalled Hayley as ‘funny and bubbly’.
Metro reached out to Diva Dogs.
In August, a British mum died in Turkey after paying £5,400 for a ‘mummy MOT surgery’.
Mum-of-two Kaydell Brown, 38, from Sheffield, died on the operating table after the surgery went wrong.
Kaydell’s sister, Leanne, 40, said medics told her that Kaydell had died and then, a short while later, she was handed an envelope of cash as a refund and informed that she had been booked on the next flight home.
Leanne said: ‘It’s like, “Sorry she’s dead, here’s your plane ticket”.’
