The Issue: Donald Trump’s blockbuster presidential campaign event at Madison Square Garden.
Did you see the rally Sunday night at Madison Square Garden (“They’re all gaga for MAGA,” Oct. 28)?
Former President Donald Trump pulled off one heck of an event as he tries to swing New York red — something that hasn’t been done since the Reagan years.
More importantly, the Democrats are furious and will do anything to eliminate Trump from the equation, even after two attempts on his life.
They couldn’t conquer him in court, so ominous fearmongering seems to be the last resort. It’s pathetic that President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris stooped so low as to call Trump a Nazi and somehow akin to Adolf Hitler.
Trump isn’t perfect and sometimes is tone-deaf in his phrasing, but he stands for America. He will not give up the ship to Russia, China or Iran. Biden has already caved to the enemy agenda, and Harris has done the same.

The out-of-place joke made by noted insult comedian Tony Hinchcliffe at the Madison Square Garden Trump rally was immediately condemned by Trump senior adviser Danielle Alvarez.
This so-called joke only marred an otherwise well-attended, memorable and inspiring rally.
It also gave distractors in some media houses something to criticize.
The official who failed to vet Hinchcliffe should hear the immortal words from The Apprentice: “You’re fired.”

Yes, the Republican candidate was raunchy at times.
But I’d rather have a president who understands what’s going on than a polite one who doesn’t have a clue.
The Democrats have shown they can run a country — right into the ground. Let’s reclaim our traditional values and look forward to a better America with a man who has the common sense to do it: Trump.

At the Trump rally at MSG, there were American flags and Israeli flags in the crowd. But there was a conspicuous lack of swastikas and pro-Hamas flags.
Where were the supposed Nazis, filled with hate, venom and antisemitism? That’s found only in the reactions of the leftist media and some very untruthful Democrats.

Trump’s rally at Madison Square Garden was filled with inflammatory rhetoric, personal grievances and lies.
Yet it was packed with supporters who share his dark view of America today, cheering his every demeaning comment. On Long Island, for example, a large share of voters seem to share Trump’s vision and fully support his push to transform our democracy into something closer to an autocracy.
While his supporters ignore the fact that he is a convicted felon who tried to overthrow our government, I can’t.
Some of us are proud of today’s America and the Constitution that got us here. I wish more shared that vision.

I voted for Trump and pray he wins, but he’s a liar.
At the Garden, he said he’d make prices affordable again — how? We’re way past the point of no return. When do prices ever drop? Almost never.
He said he’d cut energy prices by half, which will also likely never happen. Trump also claimed he’d eliminate taxes on tips, overtime, and Social Security benefits.
But all these changes require congressional approval. Trump’s running for president, not king.

Anyone at Trump’s MSG rally could see there were no Nazis —just ordinary Americans ready for change.
Few people believe Trump or his supporters are Nazis. But that doesn’t change the harm such septic speech can cause.
I’m not sure if such offensive language encouraged the attempts on Trump’s life, but Trump isn’t helping his case. Language about “internal enemies” played a part in fascism’s rise.
I hope our southern neighbors can move past this extreme rhetoric.
