The Post’s Rikki Schlott has a new podcast, “We Never Had This Conversation,” launching Wednesday, Oct. 30.
It’s produced by Bill Maher’s Club Random Studios network, which also hosts Jillian Michael’s hit podcast “Keeping It Real, “Shane Smith Has Questions” and Bill Maher’s own “Club Random.”
“Having conversations across political differences and finding common ground in such divided times is my goal here,” Schlott said.
“I couldn’t imagine a better person’s blessing to launch that project with than Bill Maher’s.”
In a time when it seems everyone is afraid to say what they really mean, “We Never Had This Conversation” is a long-form interview podcast that aims to host productive, adult conversations and debates about the most important political and social issues of our day.
Some of Schlott’s first guests include billionaire investor Vinod Khosla, commentator Coleman Hughes and former presidential candidate Andrew Yang.
Maher said, “We are thrilled to have Rikki in our network. She is an important new voice in media because she and I both desire to talk to everyone about everything, no matter which team you root for.”
Schlott pressed Khosla, a major Biden campaign donor, on whether he was concerned about the president’s age at a campaign event he hosted.
Yang told her about the shadowy inner workings of the DNC.
Coleman Hughes made the case for racial colorblindness on the podcast.
The partnership was born out of Schlott’s 2022 appearance on Maher’s nighttime show “Real Time with Bill Maher,” where she was the youngest ever panelist.
Maher started the podcast network earlier his year and said of his mission: “Dance like no one’s watching? We talk like no one can cancel us.”
He has also teased a new podcast coming soon from Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan. Schlott’s show is available on all major podcast platforms and airs weekly.
