It was the desperation play of all desperation plays… and it worked.
Jayden Daniels heaved a 52-yard Hail Mary pass that miraculously connected with Noah Brown in the end zone to allow the Commanders to pull off an 18-15 win over the Bears at Northwest Stadium on Sunday.
The rookie quarterback dropped back into the pocket before rolling right and then back toward the middle of the field before launching the ball.
The pass hit off the fingertips of a group of Bears and Commanders players around the 3-yard line and deflected right to an uncovered Brown in the end zone.
The Commanders have now won five of their last six games.
