Chaos erupted at a Timothee Chalomet lookalike contest in Washington Square Park on Sunday as cops busted up the event — calling it an unlawful gathering.
At least one shaggy-haired Chalamet doppelganger was handcuffed by cops as the crowd yelled, “Let him go!”
Dozens in the mob moved on to the Mercer Playground after the crowd was dispersed — where more than a half-dozen remaining Chalamet-wannabes launched into speed-dating rounds with female admirers.
The unusual contest was announced earlier this month and carried a $50 prize for the Hollywood heartthrob’s lookalike.
Chalamet is best known for leading roles in “Call Me by Your Name,” “Dune” and more recently “Wonka.”
