Kamala Harris was caught swearing and joking and she drank a beer at a bar in Michigan- apparently forgetting that the media were present.
The presidential candidate was spotted sharing a beer with Michigan governor Gretchen Whitmer following a rally in the crucial swing state on Saturday.
As the pair chatted away, Kamala appeared to forget the cameras were rolling for a moment, and joked that the media was ‘listening to everything’ they said.
‘Oh we have microphones in here, they’re listening to everything’, the vice-president said as she turned her head and noticed the media circus surrounding her.
‘I didn’t notice that. We just told all the family secrets, s***,’ she added, laughing.
Harris then raised a glass in celebration of all in attendance at the bar in the city of Kalamazoo, which Gov Whitmer joked was being renamed ‘Kamalazoo’ in honour of the presidential candidate.
It comes after Harris attended a rally alongside Michelle Obama just hours before, who told voters that Donald Trump’s ‘obvious mental decline’ and ‘history as a convicted felon’ should be enough reason for Americans not to vote for him.
Making her first public appearance of the presidential campaign, the former first lady said she was ‘angry’ at the ‘indifference’ shown towards the Republican candidate’s behaviour.
‘I hope you’ll forgive me if I’m a little angry that we are indifferent to his erratic behaviour, his obvious mental decline, his history as a convicted felon,’ she told those in attendance.
‘A known slumlord, a predator found liable for sexual abuse, all this while we pick apart Kamala’s answers in interviews he doesn’t even have the courage to do.
‘So, I am praying that those of us contemplating voting for Trump or not voting at all will snap out of whatever fog they are in.
‘In any other profession or arena, Trump’s criminal track record and amoral character would be embarrassing and shameful and disqualifying.’
Meanwhile, Trump himself took to the stage roughly an hour and 40 minutes late at a rally in Pennsylvania as the crowd chanted ‘get him here already’.
The Republican nominee had reportedly been held up after recording a three-hour interview with podcaster Joe Rogan earlier that day.
Trump was reportedly so late to the rally that there were audible boos and groans in the crowd, and that many attendees had left before he arrived.
