Strictly Come Dancing star Amy Dowden has been rushed to hospital after an ambulance had to be called after Saturday’s show.
The 34-year-old dancing professional was taken to hospital last night after it was reported she felt ‘unwell.
Amy’s spokesperson said: ‘Amy was feeling unwell and so an ambulance was called as a precaution.’
A spokesperson for the East of England Ambulance Service confirmed that a woman was taken to hospital after the show aired
‘We were called just after 9pm on Saturday to attend a medical emergency at Elstree Studios in Borehamwood. An ambulance was sent to the scene. One patient, an adult female, was transported to Barnet Hospital for further care.’
Amy was diagnosed with breast cancer in May last year, and thankfully got the all-clear in February.
During her chemotherapy treatment, the pro dancer kept fans updated on her health.
She has been open about her health struggles, including fertility problems, sepsis, and losing her hair – in BBC documentary Strictly Amy: Cancer and Me.
She has also spoken openly about suffering from a chronic condition, Crohns disease, in the past.
Amy and JB have proven a real hit with audiences and judges, but despite topping the leaderboard in week 1, they recently survived a dance-off and avoided going home when Paul Merson and Karen Hauer were eliminated instead.
