Hillary Clinton is ‘the original election denier,’ Megyn Kelly insists to Bill Maher

Bill Maher and Megyn Kelly sparred over election denialism in the 2024 presidential contest — with the former Fox News host calling Hillary Clinton “the original election denier.”

The two first discussed the current race, with both agreeing Republican nominee Donald Trump would likely have a negative reaction if he loses the race for the White House.

“He’ll either say, ‘It was rigged’ or ‘It was the most perfect, beautiful election ever,’” Maher said during the interview with Kelly on his show “Real Time.”

“That’s true,” Kelly conceded, before confirming she would back Trump anyway.

“Well, don’t think there won’t be denialism if Kamala Harris loses,” she answered, when Maher demanded to know why she was supporting him in spite of her admission.

“They’re already laying the foundation for law fare. We’re going to be stuck in this election one way or another, no matter who wins, for weeks,” Kelly insisted.

She then slammed Clinton, noting her long history of disputing the 2016 presidential results in interviews since her historic loss to Trump.

Maher didn’t take well to the comparison.

“She’s not an election denier,” Maher insisted. “It’s different. Grumbling. Yes, they grumble when they shouldn’t and maybe it goes over the line. There’s a difference between grumbling about something and actually trying to overturn it like he did. I mean, you know this. Why do we have to go through this?”

The two found more common ground when covering the issue of gender transition therapy for children, with both agreeing that medically unnecessary surgeries were being performed on young children.

“We are chopping off the healthy body parts of young children,” Kelly said, eliciting audible groans from the audience.

“Oh, 100 percent we are doing that,” Maher responded.
