TV star reveals he was told he ‘wasn’t thrusting right’ in sex scenes

Tell Me Lies star Jackson Lamb has admitted he received notes on his performance in a sex scene.

The actor, 28, who plays Stephen in the Disney Plus series, revealed the show’s crew informed him he wasn’t ‘thrusting right’ and the moment of intimacy didn’t look ‘realistic.’

Jackson made the frank admission to his parents – mum Kathy Sagal and step-dad Kurt Sutter – on their podcast Pie.

His mother laughed as he explained he took onboard the advice and eventually ‘nailed’ the sex scene.

The Mrs Fletcher actor said: ‘Someone was like, “He’s not thrusting right.” I was like, “How?”

‘They’re like, “Well, it doesn’t look like he’s inside. So, we have to make it so that it’s more realistic”.’

White said the crew complained he was doing ‘a body roll thing’ and instead they wanted to see him ‘more stationary.’

‘We worked on it, and I … nailed it.’

Divulging more about Tell Me Lies’ sex scenes, Jackson said they were filmed within a week under the supervision of an intimacy co-ordinator.

‘You got one sex coordinator — one intimacy coordinator — that would line up with a week,’ he shared.

‘So, it would be like a sex week, and there would be sex scenes all day long.’

Set in the mid-00s at a fictional upstate New York school called Baird College, Tell Me Lies follows the turbulent relationship between freshman Lucy (Grace Van Patten) and Stephen over the course of eight years.

As well as playing on-screen lovers, Jackson and Grace, 27, are an item in real life. The couple have been dating for two years.

Tell Me Lies is based on the 2018 novel of the same name by Carola Lovering.

To date, there have been two seasons of the drama, which was commissioned by Hulu in 2022.

Fans are now anxiously awaiting the announcement of a third season – after the finale ended on a cliffhanger.
