Former “Naked and Afraid” star Sarah Danser died Tuesday following a car crash in Hawaii at age 34.
The reality TV star, who appeared on the survival series in 2017, was killed when a 59-year-old man lost control of their vehicle and crashed into a parked car in Kahala in Honolulu, KSLA reports
Danser, who sat in the passenger seat, was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. She succumbed to her injuries on Oct. 22.
The driver of the car was hospitalized Sunday and currently remains there in serious condition.
A woman who was in the parked vehicle was also hospitalized, while the man she was sat next to refused treatment, Honolulu police said.
Cops indicated that while speed was a factor in the crash, drugs or alcohol were not involved, the outlet adds.
“Magical is the way to describe her,” Sarah’s brother, Jake Danser, told the outlet. “Sarah had this positive energy about her that just really filled the environment that she was in.”
“I actually saw how much of a difference she made in the lives of others. I think she saved my life once, diving in Indonesia,” her father, Dan Danser, added.
The Post has reached out to reps at Warner Brothers Discovery, the network that airs the reality series, for comment.
At the time of her death, Sarah had worked at Island Divers Hawaii. The scuba diving center has paid tribute following news of her death.
“Heavy hearts as we say goodbye to a good friend and great captain. Sarah brought such great energy to everyone she came in contact with. You will be greatly missed,” they wrote on Facebook Thursday.
The post was accompanied by a screenshot of Sarah’s final Instagram upload, which was a photo of herself on a boat.
“Who recognizes this boat? Look who’s driving her! 😅🙌,” Sarah captioned the Oct. 11 post.
Sarah had identified herself as a “pirate” and a “boat captain, SCUBA Diver [and] Survivalist” on social media.
The Colorado native had lived in Hawaii for 12 years before her death.
After appearing on “Naked and Afraid” in 2017, Sarah returned the following year for the spin-off titled “Naked and Afraid XL.”
She also took part in “Fight to Survive” last year.
Her “Naked and Afraid” co-star Melissa Lauren has since paid tribute, saying that Sarah “was [one] of the most adventurous souls I’ve ever met.”
“She wasn’t only a fierce survivalist on ‘Naked and Afraid’ (she completed XL in South Africa with me), but a breast cancer survivor who kept an inspiring and positive attitude through her treatment.”
“Rest easy Sarah, I know you’re out there exploring somewhere,” Lauren added.
