A bronze poop statue has mysteriously emerged honoring the January 6 Capitol rioters who aimed to keep ex-President Donald Trump in office.
The monument featuring a large turd on top of a desk with then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s name plate on it appeared in front of the National Mall with less than two weeks until the 2024 presidential election.
It had a plaque underneath stating: ‘This memorial honors the brave men and women who broke into the United States Capitol on January 6th, 2021 to loot, urinate, and defecate throughout those hallowed halls in order to overturn an election.
‘President Trump celebrates these heroes of January 6th as “unbelievable patriots” and “warriors.”
‘This monument stands as a testament to their daring sacrifice and lasting legacy.’
It was not outwardly apparent who was behind the weird monument, but a public gathering permit filed with the National Park Service stated that the applicant was Julia Jimenez-Pyzik of Civic Crafted LLC.
The duration of the display, named The Resolute Desk, is Thursday through October 31, according to the permit.
‘This desk represents the heart of democracy, where decisions are made, voices are heard, and the future is shaped. More than just a place for work, it is a testament to the ideals of transparency, accountability, and representation,’ stated the permit obtained by DC News Now.
‘Here, the power of the people finds its expression through the diligent efforts of those who serve the public good.
‘When rioters broke in to destroy these ideals, this desk stands firm, so too must the principles of equality, justice, and freedom that it represents.’
The actual Resolute Desk has been used by US presidents in the Oval Office of the White House.
January 6 nearly four years ago is a day that lives in infamy in US history, as a mob of Trump supporters stormed the Capitol Building in a failed effort to stop Congress from certifying the 2020 election results in Joe Biden’s favor.
More than 1,000 insurrectionists have been convicted, and the Justice Department has charged Trump with crimes related to inciting the riot. The Supreme Court delayed the case from going to trial before the November election.
The monument popped up in the same area where Trump’s opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris, plans to deliver a closing argument address. Harris will speak at the Ellipse, a park near the South Lawn of the White House, on Tuesday to warn that Trump returning will spell chaos.
