Shirtless bozo attacks street vendor in awkward brawl as embarrassed school kids look on

A shirtless California man with a mean streak attacked a street vendor near a local high school Tuesday in a wild caught-on-camera assault that landed the angry assailant in the clink.

Cops in Visalia, California — about a half-hour southeast of Fresno — said 40-year-old Joshua Martino went after the unidentified food vendor at about 1 p.m. because he was upset that a crowd of kids had gathered in front of his house, ABC 7 in Los Angeles reported.

Video of the akward street fight shows the half-naked Martino apparently arguing with one of the students at Mt. Whitney High School, before he turns his ire on the vendor who tried to invtervene.

Martino grabs him by the head and tries to throw him before the two get into a wild scrum, with Martino throwing looping haymakers as the vendor hits back, the video showed.

Martino kicks over the vendor’s cart, and appears to flailingly land at least one shot to the man’s head before the video cut off.

Cops later arrested him for battery and vandalism, then brought him to the county jail.

Food vendors often line up on the road to serve the kids as they come out of school, ABC said.

Legal analyst Tony Capozzi told ABC the case was egregious, and he’d be surprised if the Tulare County District Attorney didn’t hit Martino with felony charges.

Either way, the bare-chested hothead faces significant jail time if he’s convicted.

Martino is due in court Thursday. ABC7

“If it’s a misdemeanor, it’s one year jail time; if it’s a felony, it’s either 16 months, two or three years in jail,” Capozzi said.

ABC said he Martino was previously arrested in March 2022 for battery and assault, and hit with similar misdemeanor charges back in 2014.

He served time and was put on probation for both encounters, the station added.

He’s due in court Thursday afternoon.
