Indigenous authors Tanya Talaga and Katherena Vermette represent Canada on top 10 books list

The list is definitely a labour of love and something Indigo holds near and dear to its heart.”
Landing on this list is a boon for authors and their work. Indigo reports that Best Books of the Year selections “typically see a 273 per cent lift in sales, on average.”
According to Indigo stats last year’s top pick on the list, Ann Napolitano’s Hello Beautiful, saw a rise in sales after topping the list and stayed on the “bestseller list for over nine months into 2024.”
