Dolton ‘Dictator’ Mayor Tiffany Henyard infers she’ll seek arrest of opponents during rambling Facebook live rant

Dolton “Dictator” Mayor Tiffany Henyard inferred she would seek the arrests of her opponents in a rambling social media rant as her fed-up landlord described dealing with the under-fire pol who is facing eviction.

Henyard, of the Illinois suburb, went on a nearly 90-minute tirade in a Facebook live video Tuesday after a meeting of the Thornton Township, which she also leads, was canceled because not enough board members showed up.

In the endless address, the scandal-ridden mayor defended herself against non-stop criticism over her handling of municipal business and finances while calling dissenting officials corrupt.

Dolton Mayor Tiffany Henyard inferred she would seek the arrests of her opponents in a rambling social media rant.

“I will be seeking arrests for individuals involved,” Henyard said. “I will be pressing charges. It’s a lot. And that’s just me telling you a little bit because all this pointing the finger at Tiffany – or lying on me – I’m over it. Now it’s time for me to speak, as I say, truth speaks.”

The self-described super mayor didn’t expand on what charges she’d like to see leveled, but accused her adversaries of a “power and money grab,” WGN 9 reported.

She also vowed to reveal the “full truth” regarding the controversies swirling around her at a later date.

Only one Thorntown trustee showed up for the scrapped meeting on Tuesday along with Henyard after trustee Chris Gonzalez said he wouldn’t go to the meeting room because the space was too cramped, the Chicago Tribune reported.

“I wasn’t going to put people in an unsafe environment,” Gonzalez told the newspaper. “I wasn’t going to make it an argument. I mean, it’s just what should be done. It’s the right thing.”

Dolton trustees and Henyard have also been at odds over a determined meeting location, leading Henyard to file a failed lawsuit, WBS reported.

As the mayor faces schisms in the village and town, she’s also facing possible eviction.

Property owner Genetta Hull claimed Henyard and her boyfriend haven’t fully paid rent since August.

Hull leased her property to the politician whom she once considered a friend, but the relationship soured in 2021 when she felt pressure from Henyard to move into the home, according to a report.

“And then she’s like, ‘I hear you’re renting your house.’ I said, ‘Yeah, I have somebody who’s moving in soon,’” Hull told Fox 32.

“And she says, ‘No, they can’t move in because I want it.’ And I’m like, ‘Excuse me?’”

She said after she raised the rent by $200 over the summer to $2,400 per month because of a property tax hike, Henyard’s beau said he couldn’t afford it.

The couple didn’t pay the full rent in August and hasn’t paid any rent in September, Hull alleged.

She also accused Henyard of changing the locks and garage car code to keep her away.

“If I pushed and go over there with a locksmith and try to change them back, I think she’s probably going to have me arrested,” Hull told the station.

She filed an eviction lawsuit in September but has been unable to serve the papers to Henyard or her other half.

“At some point, you have to understand that karma’s going to catch up to you,” Hull told Fox 32 in a message to the mayor. “Just pay your rent.”

A lawyer for Henyard previously told Fox 32 that the claims of unpaid rent were false.

Henyard is facing federal scrutiny after both Dolton and Thorntown were hit with subpoenas earlier this year, along with other groups and associates of the Democrat, according to reports.

Henyard, who is running for reelection, has denied all wrongdoing.
