Newly released police bodycam footage captures a deranged driver repeatedly smashing his Mercedes Benz into Massachusetts police vehicles, barely missing the officers.
Djeff Josa, 29, was charged with multiple counts of assault on cops in Weymouth after the wild Sept. 22 encounter — captured on video released by police last week, according to WFXT-TV News.
“Yo, chill!” one cop is heard yelling. “You almost hit me with the car, dude.”
“Hey,” another officer is heard screaming. “Hey, hey! Get out of the f—ing car.”
Weymouth police responded to the scene around 4:30 p.m. the day of the incident on reports of a man acting erratically at a local laundromat, and allegedly found Josa “very agitated” and “talking very fast, slightly argumentative and sweating profusely, the outlet reported.
The cops called an ambulance to the scene but Josa hopped behind the wheel of the Benz and smashed into the squad cars in the parking lot as cops pointed guns and yelled for him to stop.
He eventually pulled out of the lot, onto the roadway and took off.
But it didn’t take long to catch up with him — the Benz crashed into a line of trees on Route 3.
In court, Josa bobbed his head and mumbled to himself as he was arraigned on charges of assault with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery, malicious damage to a motor vehicle, failure to stop, reckless driving and leaving the scene of property damage and resisting arrest.
The judge ordered him held without bail.
