Johnson has been managing partner of the Montreal office of Davies Ward Phillips and Vineberg since 2017.
The Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Montreal on Tuesday named lawyer Philippe Johnson chair of its board of directors for 2024-2025.
In a statement announcing the appointment, the Johnson said he is “very happy to accept the mandate.”
“In its role as a mobilizing force for the economic ecosystem, the chamber is central in supporting businesses in the transformations currently under way,” he said.
“I am committed to putting my energy and expertise at the service of our members, pursuing our mission, and reinforcing our city’s vitality and prosperity.”
Philippe Johnson has been managing partner of the Montréal office of Davies Ward Phillips and Vineberg since 2017. He has been advising prominent Canadian, American, and international companies for more than 20 years in their primary investments and strategic issues in Canada.
In addition to sitting on the firm’s management committee since 2012, Johnson is a director of the Fondation Serge-Marcil, which works to improve the wellbeing of children in Haiti and Africa. He was also a member of the board of directors of Startup Montréal (now Québec Tech).
