Deliveroo users have been left to go hungry this afternoon as the food delivery app has gone down for hundreds of users just before lunchtime.
Reports of the outages started to circulate at around 11am, with Down Detector reporting 193 people struggling to access the app.
According to Down Detector, over 95% of affected users are having trouble accessing the app, with the vast majority of cases taking place in London.
One of the affected users said: ‘Have contacted customer services. Only offering £8 refund when all £34 of the order went in the bin. Had to escalate it to complaints. Crazy that this isn’t just an automatic refund given it was Deliveroos error, which you know about.’
A Deliveroo spokeperson said in response to a complaint from a user: ‘We’re really sorry about this! Our dedicated technical are currently working on this issue. Please bare with us whilst we resolve this.’
