During her heyday the singer had seven Top 10 singles in the US, including tunes: Prove Your Love, I’ll Always Love You, Don’t Rush Me, With Every Beat of My Heart, Love Will Lead You Back, and I’ll Be Your Shelter.
The singer sold over 75 million albums and singles and received more than three Grammy nominations, an American Music Award and many New York Music Awards.
The singer released five albums: Tell It to My Heart (1988), Can’t Fight Fate (1989), Soul Dancing (1993), Naked Without You (1998), and Satisfied (2008), but hasn’t released a studio album since the noughties.
Although she isn’t the major pop star that she once was, the star has still made appearances in the spotlight over the years and looks just as fabulous today as she did back in the day.
The singer has never married and has two children via a surrogate who were born in 2003.
