Saskatoon police found about a kilogram of cocaine among evidence in a drug investigation on Thursday. One man was arrested.
Around 9:30 p.m., investigators arrested the man in the 100 block of Betts Avenue after they “conducted enforcement action,” police said in a news release on Monday.
Investigators from the guns and gangs team, the crime reduction team and the tactical support team worked together on the case.
After the arrest, police used a warrant to search a home in the 100 block of Mollard Lane and a vehicle, the release said. Seized evidence included: $26,160 in cash, about one kilogram of cocaine in a vacuum-sealed package, drug packaging materials, mixing equipment and materials, a vacuum sealer and several cellphones.
The suspect is charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of the proceeds of crime over $5,000.
