The speed of the motorcyclist was to blame, police said.
A 16-year-old motorcyclist died Saturday evening after a collision with a vehicle on Laurier Rd. in St-Norbert-d’Arthabaska, in Centre-du-Québec.
At about 8:45 p.m., emergency services were called to respond after a vehicle made a left turn and collided with the motorcyclist.
The young motorcyclist suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to Sûreté du Québec spokesperson Élisabeth Marquis-Guy, the speed of the motorcyclist was to blame.
Traffic was closed for much of the evening for the purposes of the investigation before reopening around 2:45 a.m.
