Katie Piper has hit back at a vile troll’s cruel comment over her appearance.

The 41-year-old presenter and activist took to Instagram to share her response to a horrific comment that had been left on one of her posts.

It had begun with ‘where your nose?’ to which Katie had replied: ‘being pulled into my face by thick scar tissue. It’s incredibly painful.’

The vicious troll then wrote: ‘yes, It’s cool, but my nose is normal. I wish you had to stop suffering as soon as possible. I recommend that you go out the window, preferably on the 10th-11th floor, perhaps this will ease your suffering.’

Screenshotting the disgusting comment, Katie wrote in a post: ‘This is not ok, and it will never be ok.

‘If you can write something, anything, negative online and press ‘post’, you are a special type of person.

‘Publishing hate in to the world hurts everyone, including yourself.

‘Don’t comment on my appearance, don’t threaten my life, get off the internet and stay quiet.’

She added in the caption: ‘After completing my run this morning, feeling already depleted because of my bad time, I opened my phone to this.

‘I can handle most things, but sometimes it adds to an already heavy load you are carrying.

‘You never know how people are feeling, what they’re going through, how their days are and even if you did, the only person we’re judging because of this comment, is you.

‘I wouldn’t usually call this out so personally, but this is beyond anything even I can handle. This behaviour should always be called out, people need to do better.’

The Loose Women star was showered in support from friends and fans alike, with Gemma Atkinson writing: ‘Life is like a bed of roses, we occasionally come across a prick. And that person is indeed an absolute prick. You Katie, are a rose.’

Laura Whitmore added: ‘Bloody hell I’m sorry you have to see this Katie. People are unwell and this is why social media needs to be monitored.’

‘Horrible behaviour. I’m so sorry Katie,’ Ashley Roberts said, with Stacey Dooley writing: ‘The pits. You are legit 10/10 in every sense.’

‘Absolutely awful. You’re so beautiful and brave and you’ve helped SO many people,’ Ashley James added.

Katie’s Loose Women co-star Coleen Nolan wrote: ‘Oh god Katie this is so so vile! I think these kind of people have no life, no friends and would prefer hate towards them than nothing at all… I’m trying to feel sorry for this sad individual but I’m finding it really difficult… you on the other hand are one of the most beautiful individual individuals I’ve ever met. Never let anyone dull your shine.’

Katie has heartbreakingly had to address disgusting comments she’s received before, and has urged for more to be done.

The presenter recently underwent an operation to sew her eye shut, having suffered blindness in one eye along with other life changing injuries and burns after a horror acid attack in 2008.

She was  attacked by an ex-boyfriend and an accomplice who threw sulphuric acid in her face, leaving her fighting for her life in intensive care, and needing multiple surgeries, some ongoing to this day.

Despite the horrific attack, Katie was determined to come back stronger, and later bravely released a documentary, Katie Piper: My Beautiful Face, to raise awareness about facial disfigurements and tell her story.

She has also launched the Katie Piper Foundation, which helps other burns victims, for which she was awarded an OBE.
