Carlos Rodón’s family had a front-row seat Saturday as the Yankees punched their ticket to the World Series for the first time since 2009.
Shortly after the Bombers’ 5-2 win over the Guardians in Game 5 of the ALCS in Cleveland, Ashley Rodón recapped the unforgettable night at Progressive Field in a series of photos shared on Instagram.
Captioning the post, “Next stop, World Series!” Ashley and Rodón, 31, smiled for a handful of on-field snaps with their young children, with their son also holding the American League Championship trophy.
“Bringing the kids is hard just because it’s late late nights,” Ashley posted in an Instagram Story on Sunday. “But Im so thankful I have this photo for him even if he can’t remember it later in life.”
Rodón, who arrived in New York before turning in a disappointing 2023 season, threw 4 2/3 innings against the Guardians in the 10-inning clincher.
He has posted a 4.40 ERA this postseason.
“It shows who we really are,” Rodón said of the club. “We’re not scared to look adversity in the eyes. We had a rough year last year and now it’s behind us. We still have more work to do.”
The Yankees will face either the Dodgers or the Mets when they play in their first World Series in 15 years.

He began his career with the White Sox in 2015 and signed with the Giants in March 2022.
Rodón joined the Yankees in December of that year, agreeing to a six-year, $162 million contract.
He and Ashley have been married since 2018 and have three kids together.
Game 1 of the 2024 World Series is set for Friday.
