Scandal-plagued New York magazine reporter Olivia Nuzzi was spotted out for the first time — rubbing shoulders with celebs at an event honoring “trailblazing women” — since her sexting scandal with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. exploded into the public eye.
Nuzzi, 31, was snapped posing at the Los Angeles fashion event dinner hosted by the Argent label last Thursday, photos obtained by Women’s Wear Daily show.
Actress Kate Mara, filmmaker Ava DuVernay and a slew of other female journalists were also in attendance for the night out billed by WWD as honoring a “community of trailblazing women.”
The star Washington correspondent hasn’t been seen in public since she confessed last month to embarking on a “personal relationship” with the former independent presidential candidate and Kennedy scion.
Multiple sources later described their liaison, which resulted in Nuzzi being sidelined by the magazine, as a tawdry sexting ordeal that kicked off after she interviewed him last year for a political profile piece.
The relationship was said to have started when Nuzzi was still engaged to her now-ex fiancé, fellow politics journalist Ryan Lizza.
Since then, wild allegations have been flung about on both sides — including that Nuzzi had bombarded Kennedy with X-rated photos and that Kennedy, who is married to actress Cheryl Hines, is a “sex addict.”
