Liam Payne posted several videos to his Snapchat Story in the hours leading up to his shocking death.
In one of the since-deleted snaps, the “One Direction” alum told fans he was having a “lovely day” while spending time with girlfriend Kate Cassidy in Argentina.
The couple sat around a dining room table while enjoying different breakfast foods and discussing their plans for the rest of the day, which included polo and riding horses.
In a separate clip, the singer said he and Cassidy were really “enjoying” their time on vacation. He also posted a video of him and the influencer making silly faces, captioned, “Quality time 🥰.”
It’s unclear if the videos were actually taken Wednesday or just posted then. However, Cassidy seemingly left Argentina over the weekend, suggesting Payne was not posting the videos in real time.
Page Six confirmed they were still active on his Stories around 5:30 p.m.
However, shortly after news of his death broke, the videos were removed from his main Snap Stories and archived under the “Spotlight” tab on Payne’s account.
TMZ reported Wednesday that Payne died after falling from a third story balcony at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires. He was 31.
Witnesses told the outlet he fell shortly after 5 p.m. local time.
The “Strip Down” singer had allegedly been acting erratic in the hotel lobby earlier, reportedly smashing a laptop before being escorted back to his room.
The outlet obtained an alleged photo of the “Midnight Memories” singer on a wooden deck after the fall.
It’s unclear if the fall was intentional or accidental as the investigation is ongoing.
Earlier this month, the “What Makes You Beautiful” singer flew to Argentina to support his former bandmate Niall Horan, who had a show there.
Although the show was nearly two weeks ago, Payne seemingly stayed down in the South American country for an extended vacation.
Payne rose to stardom at just 16 when he found success on “The X Factor” in 2010. Despite auditioning as a solo act, the singer was put into a group alongside Horan, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson.
The group quickly became one of the biggest boybands of all time, selling out arenas and releasing five studio albums before splitting up for good in 2016.
His former bandmates have yet to speak out about his tragic death.
In the years since their breakup, Payne was open about his struggles with drug and alcohol abuse.
During a 2021 podcast appearance, the singer also admitted he struggled with depression and suicidal ideation.
