Just hours after the shock announcement that 31-year-old former One Direction member Liam Payne had been found dead in Buenos Aires, a spate of disgusting comments have flooded the hotel’s reviews page.
The British singer is understood to have fallen from the third floor of the Casa Sur Hotel in the Palermo neighborhood around 5pm local time.
According to the Buenos Aires Police Department, Payne fell around 14 meters from a balcony. His body was found in the courtyard surrounded by tables and chairs, authorities said.
In the minutes and hours following the news of his death, the hotel – described as a boutique property located in the trendy neighborhood of Palermo – was flooded with sickening comments acting as Google reviews.
Among genuine feedback for the 4-star hotel, including comments praising the hotel’s stellar service and great location, trolls were quick to make disgusting jokes about the property’s third floor.

“Good place, the only thing is to avoid staying on the third floor,” one person wrote.
“Great hotel! The view from the third floor is to die for!” another added.
“I liked the hotel, they are managing it in the right direction. Some noise in the afternoons on the 3rd floor thought but otherwise fine,” a third commented.
The comments, which filtered to the top of Google reviews, were quickly scrubbed within hours of posting.
The CasaSur Hotel in Palermo has 61 rooms featuring minimalist furniture and wooden floors. On the eighth floor of the hotel sits one of the “most magnificent terraces in the city of Buenos Aires” with a 400m2 bar and outdoor space.
Dozens of fans have since gathered outside the hotel, where authorities had put a red tent over Payne’s body as they begin their investigation. His body has since been taken away in an ambulance. An official cause of death will not be determined until an autopsy is conducted.
In the days prior to his death, Payne was posting multiple videos on social media about his trip to Argentina.
In one of the videos, Payne stated that he and his girlfriend Kate Cassidy were “enjoying coffee and breakfast, even though it is like 1pm”.
“It is a lovely day here in Argentina,” he said.
Time stamps on the video show it was only posted to his Snapchat about an hour before his death. However, it is understood Cassidy left Payne several days ago to return to Florida.
In another video captioned “quality time”, Payne and Cassidy smiled and posed for the camera.
On another photo, the British singer wrote: “Happy I got some time away”.
TMZ reports Payne was sighted acting erratically in the hotel lobby earlier in the day, with multiple sources telling the outlet emergency services was called to report an “aggressive” male.
The publication claims Payne smashed his laptop and had to be carried back to his room.
