The blade-wielding perp, who wore a dark leather jacket and brown hat, knifed the teen in the neck before running off down Reade Street, sources said. He remained on the loose early Wednesday afternoon.

The teen was rushed to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition, according to sources.

Details about what led to the senseless stabbing remained unclear as police pieced together exactly what happened.

The attack unfolded in a courtyard between 1 Police Plaza and the Thurgood Marshall US Courthouse, where blood still stained the bricks Wednesday afternoon.

Officials sealed off the municipal building’s doors leading to the city’s criminal court summons operations.

The victim had recently received a summons for a vehicle registration violation, court records show.
