Grand Florida mansion lists for $59.5M — after selling for $39.5M in 2021

It looks like a hotel, but this oceanfront property is a private residence in North Palm Beach, Florida — and it’s now on the market for $59.5 million.

The listing brokers are reality TV stars Ryan Serhant, of Serhant, and Chris Leavitt, of Douglas Elliman. Both were stars on Bravo’s “Million Dollar Listing” series in New York and Miami, respectively, and Serhant this year brought the reality television energy to “Owning Manhattan” on Netflix.

“This house is built like a bunker on the ocean. It is solid, sturdy and structurally sound stone construction,” Leavitt told Gimme Shelter. The residence is also part of Seminole Landing, one of the only gated communities on the ocean in South Florida. “There’s a guard at the gate and also one in front of the house, so it’s double-gated,” Leavitt said.

Billionaire neighbors include Larry Ellison, the Ziff family and Robert F. Smith of Vista Equity Partners.

The property, known as Bel Viaggio, is at 12088 Banyan Road on Seminole Beach, and it’s part of a private, gated community. The seller bought the home for $39.5 million in 2021, according to property records, meaning the potential for a large profit after just three years.

The nine-bedroom home was built in 2008. At a massive 18,852 square feet, it comes with 190 feet of oceanfront and sits on around 2.9 acres. It was curated by architect and preservationist Gene Pandula, interior designer Ray Clark and master landscape architect Howard Ostrout Jr.

The home opens to a double-story foyer. Two spiral staircases lead to separate second-story wings. There’s a grand salon, a screening room, a gallery room, a vault, a chef’s kitchen and a dining room.

Design details include hand-painted ceilings, custom millwork and two home offices. There’s also a separate tower with a rooftop telescope and panoramic ocean views, plus a pool and an outdoor cigar room.
