Jerry Cantrell of Alice In Chains announces 2025 solo tour. Get tickets

Jerry Cantrell just spent his summer opening for Bush.

Now, just a month later, the prolific Alice In Chains frontman announced he’ll play venues all over North America on his winter 2025 ‘I Want Blood Tour’ in support of his forthcoming album with the same name.

Early in the nationwide run, the “Cut You In” singer is slated to drop into Sayreville, NJ’s Starland Ballroom on Saturday, Feb. 1, New York City’s Irving Plaza on Wednesday, Feb. 5 and Huntington, NY’s Paramount Theatre on Tuesday, Feb. 11.

At all 2025 shows, Cantrell, 58, will be joined by special guest Filter.

“I Want Blood” is the grunge rocker’s fourth solo album and features big names Guns N’ Roses’ McKagan, Metallica’s Rob Trujillo, Faith No More’s Mike Bordin, Better Lovers’ Greg Puciato in the liner notes.

Prior to the release of this record, Cantrell dropped “Brighten” in 2021. Before that, Cantrell had last released a record in 2002.

If you want to see him live, tickets are available for all concerts as of today.

Fans can purchase tickets for all upcoming ‘I Want Blood’ shows on sites like Vivid Seats; the official on-sale for the newly announced concert dates is Friday, Oct. 18.

Vivid Seats is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

They have a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and will be delivered before the event.

Jerry Cantrell new music

“I Want Blood” is due out on Friday, Oct. 18.

Ahead of the record’s release, Cantrell dropped a pair of singles. Up first was the moody 4.5-minute “Afterglow,” which harkens back to his grunge days. For our money, it’s a mellow headbanger in the best way.

More recently, he put out the hard-charging, fist-pumping title track “I Want Blood.”

You can hear both here.

Filter

At all shows, fellow ’90s icon Filter will serve as Cantrell’s special guest.

As a quick refresher, the band broke big thanks to the success of their radio-friendly 1999 single “Take A Picture.” However, you’d be doing the group a disservice if you didn’t give the heavy “Hey Man, Nice Shot,” breakbeat “(Can’t You) Trip Like I Do,” and spaced-out “Where Do We Go From here” a spin.
