What caused Mike Tyson’s medical flight emergency that postponed Jake Paul fight

Mike Tyson’s health scare that pushed back his fight with Jake Paul is behind him, the legendary boxer said Thursday.

“No more ulcers. Everything is clean,” he told the Daily Mail. “I was doing too much bad food and stuff, and I got sick. I ate too much bad processed food.”

Tyson has been training for a bout with Paul since — at least — the fight announcement on March 7, 2024, with an initially scheduled date of July 20.

A scary medical situation involving Tyson happened May 27, as flight attendants called for a doctor aboard a cross-country flight.

Paramedics boarded the flight right as it landed, and Tyson was diagnosed with stomach ulcers.

The medical incident forced Tyson to take a break from training for the fight and the fight was postponed.

Tyson and Paul settled on pushing the fight back four months, and it is expected to air live on Netflix on Nov. 15.

In the lead-up to the fight, Tyson began posting training videos on social media showing him running and hitting mitts.

Fans had a field day with the clips as Tyson attempts to get into shape for a critical fight that would count against his professional record.

“Iron Mike” hasn’t had a sanctioned fight since 2005, a loss to Kevin McBride.

Tyson (50-6) fought Roy Jones Jr. to a draw in an exhibition boxing match in 2020.

Paul and Tyson will meet at heavyweight for eight two-minute rounds.

Tyson has been offered $5 million by Paul if he can last more than four rounds, with the flip side being Tyson would have to get a “I love Jake Paul” tattoo if he fails to do so.
