Actress Jessica Chastain slams JetBlue airline and divides the internet over $15 refund

‘Sorry you’re disappointed’: The 47-year-old is upset over the airline’s entertainment system not working on her six hour flight

Actress Jessica Chastain, known for her roles in films like Molly’s Game and Zero Dark Thirty, was upset with JetBlue airline after the entertainment system on her six-hour flight failed to work — so much so that she took to social media to post about it.

“Thank you JetBlue for your $15.00 credit,” the 47-year-old wrote, in a post this week that has since been deleted on X.

“My flight was $1,500 and the credit is 1/100 of the money I paid you. Strange that I paid that for your flight entertainment system that didn’t work for the duration of my 6hr flight, but I guess it was worth it for this $15 credit.”

The airline responded on Wednesday in a post on X to apologize.

“We’re sorry you’re disappointed, Jessica. Please send us a DM so we can look into this,” said a post by JetBlue.

Chastain replied to the airline with a screenshot of what appeared to be a conversation with a JetBlue agent online.

“I spent $1,500 on the flight and so did my husband,” wrote Chastain.

“There should be some flight credit or something since I have a TrueBlue account and have been a loyal customer.”

TrueBlue is a frequent-flyer program offering points to travellers for flying with JetBlue.

The airline assured Chastain that the credit she received was, in fact, a flight credit.

“I am sorry there is not more I can do,” said an unnamed airline representative.

The comments from X users online were not completely in favour of how the actress handled the situation.

Others related to Chastain’s annoyance at the airline, calling out JetBlue for poor service.
