Police looking for man seen stalking homes in southeast Calgary

Police say the suspect is likely 25 to 30 years old, about six feet tall with a slim build and fair complexion

Calgary police are searching for a man they believe has been stalking homes in a neighbourhood on the southeast edge of the city.

Calgary officers were first told of a suspicious man walking by the 0 to 100 block of Cranbrook Gardens S.E. on Sept. 21, where he was believed to have been peering inside a home.

The man was then captured on surveillance footage visiting the home “multiple times,” police said, between Sept. 29 and Sept. 30. Police received their second report of a suspicious man at a home in the 100 block of Cranbrook Square S.E. — a street about 700 metres from Cranbrook Gardens S.E. Police believe the man visited the home several times over 10 days between Sept. 23 and Oct. 2.

Investigators believe the same person is responsible for stalking both homes.

Police are asking the public to come forward with information that could help bring the investigation forward.

Police say the suspect is likely 25 to 30 years old, about six feet tall with a slim build and fair complexion. The man was most recently seen wearing light-coloured shorts, dark-coloured sandals with socks and a grey hoodie with the drawstrings pulled tight.
