Purse snatcher drags woman, breaks her arm in mugging at trendy NYC bar: cops

A callous thief dragged a woman and broke her arm as he yanked her bag away at a trendy SoHo bar, cops said this week.

The 54-year-old victim was sitting at Kenn’s Broome Street Bar at around 9:50 p.m. on Aug. 31, when a stranger tried to snatch her pocketbook off the chair next to her, authorities said.

When the victim tried to grab her purse back, the robber dragged the woman with the bag, breaking her left arm, cops said.

The mugger bolted from the watering hole — which sits on Broome Street and West Broadway — with about $1,400 worth of the victim’s personal items, police said.

The woman, whose arm was broken in the violent mugging, was taken to New York Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital, where she was listed in stable condition, cops said.

A photo of the still-at-large suspect, released by the NYPD late Thursday, shows him talking on the phone as he passes through a subway turnstile.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA(74782).
