Aaron Rodgers reveals knee is ‘swollen’ after getting beat up in Jets’ loss to Broncos

Aaron Rodgers is still feeling all the hits he took on Sunday.

Rodgers, who was sacked five times during the Jets’ 10-9 loss to the Broncos at MetLife Stadium, got up slowly multiple times late in the game.

“I’m feeling a little banged up,” Rodgers said during his weekly appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show” on Tuesday. “Took some shots, knee is a little swollen but just kinda wear and tear, Week 4.”

On Monday, head coach Robert Saleh predicted Rodgers wouldn’t even show up on the injury report this week. The Jets will notably have to fly to London for their Week 5 game against the Vikings, however.

Long flights aren’t exactly optimal for swollen knees.

“From everything that I’ve gathered, it’s just a standard wear and tear of getting beat up a little bit yesterday,” Saleh said.

Rodgers wasn’t at his best in Sunday’s loss, completing 24 of 42 passes for 225 yards and no touchdowns or interceptions.

“I’m hoping we can all have a little perspective here,” Rodgers said Tuesday. “That seemed like an outlier game. Obviously, Denver has a real solid defense. The weather and their defense and our lack of execution made a pretty bad combination there to only put up nine points.”
