ST-BONAVENTURE — A man in his 60s was killed Saturday in St-Bonaventure, in the province’s Centre-du-Québec region, of injuries sustained when he was trapped under a tractor.
According to the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), the man was carrying out repairs under a tractor when the agricultural vehicle started and he was seriously injured.
The tractor continued to run a short distance before it hit a parked vehicle and stopped.
Emergency services were called at about 11 a.m. The victim was taken to hospital in critical condition and he succumbed to his injuries.
The SQ sent a police officer trained in collision investigation to clarify the circumstances surrounding the death.
