Semi crash involving a train east of Biggar, Sask. under investigation

A Thursday crash between a semi and a train on a rural road east of Biggar is under investigation.

Around 7:15 p.m., officers arrived at Range Road 3134, about one kilometre south of Highway 14, east of Biggar, a Thursday news release said.

Emergency personnel, including EMS and firefighters, were also called to the scene.

Traffic was blocked to the north and south, and motorists were asked to avoid the area during the investigation, the release said.

Biggar is about 97 kilometres west of Saskatoon.
