Florida cop, 26, accused of fooling around with ‘intoxicated’ underage girl found in his home

A Florida cop was arrested by his own department on Monday after he allegedly plied an underage girl with booze and then fooled around with the drunken teen who investigators found inside his home.

Danny Moore, 26, the now-former Tallahassee police officer, allegedly met the underage girl on an app where they arranged to meet in a shopping center parking lot, the Tallahassee Police Department said in a news release.

Moore then drove the minor to a nearby liquor store where he bought her booze before taking her to his apartment and engaging in sexual activity, police said.

Authorities said they responded to Jackson Square Apartments Monday evening to investigate reports of a suspected intoxicated juvenile.

Moore provided officers with his name but a false age and occupation before admitting that the teenage girl was inside his apartment, according to police. Officers then located the intoxicated minor and took her to a local hospital for treatment.

Investigators arrested Moore and later discovered he was a police officer within their department.

Moore, who joined the force in July 2023, was immediately terminated, police said.

“The men and women who protect and serve our community are held to the highest standard of the law,” Police Chief Lawrence Revell said.

“Officer misconduct is unacceptable and will not be tolerated,” he added. “Every one of our officers took an oath to protect this community, and every one of them will be held accountable for any actions that do not uphold TPD’s core values, department policies, and Florida Statutes.”

Officers found the intoxicated teen in Moore’s apartment and transported her to a local hospital for treatment. google

Moore is charged with lewd and lascivious battery, lewd and lascivious molestation, lewd and lascivious conduct, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Police said he could face additional charges as the incident remains under investigation.
