Over 15,000 newer Ford trucks recalled in Canada

Some new Mavericks may have an issue with the rearview-camera display, and F-150 parking lamps could flicker

Owners of affected Mavericks will be notified by Ford, and asked to take the truck to their dealership, where an update to the radio software will be performed, free of charge. The defect is also found in some 144,516 Maverick pickups in the U.S.

The defect that both recalls aimed to remedy was for the parking lights, which due to a glitch may flicker instead of remaining fully illuminated when the headlights are switched to ‘Position Lamp On’ mode, ‘Headlamp On,’ and ‘Automatic’ positions on the headlight switch. The new fix must be performed at a dealership, where service techs will replace the LED driver module (LDM). This new recall also covers 16,543 examples of the F-150 in the U.S.
