Known as “MiddleSea,” the 26-acre Centre Island spread features four homes and offers more than 2,000 feet of private beach — a rare luxury along Long Island’s affluent Gold Coast.

Purchased by Joel in 2002, the estate was expanded from its initial 14 acres to include adjoining parcels and additional waterfront lots.

The estate is highlighted by its 20,000-square-foot main house, which features oversized living spaces, five bedrooms, eight bathrooms and breathtaking 180-degree views of the Long Island Sound.

The home’s 30-foot cathedral ceilings, marble and hardwood floors, spa, ballroom, wine cellar and bowling alley add to the overall grandeur, making it a standout among other properties in the area.

“Every detail, from the architecture to the landscaping, has been carefully curated to maintain the essence of the property while elevating it to meet today’s highest standards,” said Emmett Laffey, CEO of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Laffey International Realty, which is managing the sale.

Joel had taken the home off the market last November to complete the final touches of this major renovation, The Post reported at the time.

At the start of this year, Joel reiterated his love for Long Island.

“Just because I’m selling that house doesn’t mean I’m leaving Long Island. I still have a house on Long Island,” he said.

Joel, 75, then cracked a joke about why he is offloading his longtime manse saying, “I’m just gonna spend a little more time in Florida like old Jewish guys from Long Island do.”

The surrounding grounds of the property feature rolling green lawns, meticulously landscaped gardens, two swimming pools, a gazebo and a covered outdoor dining area that’s perfect for entertaining.

In addition to the main residence, there are three other homes on the property: a five-bedroom gatehouse, a three-bedroom Malibu-style beach house and a three-bedroom guest house. This configuration allows for plenty of guest accommodations or additional privacy for a new owner.

As part of its appeal, MiddleSea is flanked by Oyster Bay and Cold Spring Harbor, offering stunning seaside views from nearly every angle.

The estate’s private beach, dock and boat ramp provide ample opportunities for water activities, while the private helipad ensures easy access for those flying in.
