Training camp finally is here.
After a long summer — and an even longer spring here in Calgary — the Flames will return to the ice on Thursday to begin their preparations for the 2024-25 season.
Expectations rightfully are low. Flames GM Craig Conroy spent most of his first year on the job dealing away veterans while getting draft picks and young players in return, so it’s going to be a few years before the team is competing for a playoff spot again.
But just because the team is young, that doesn’t mean they’re uninteresting.
We want to know what readers are thinking about where the team is sitting at the dawn of the 2024-25 season. So here’s your chance to weigh in on the Flames’ off-season and the year ahead.
The poll closes on Sept. 24, so get your answers in before then.
