A man allegedly stabbed a laundromat customer because he was angry that his laundry was not yet done.
The customer jumped on the counter of Bath 21 Laundromat and Cleaner in Brooklyn and stabbed a woman employed there just before 2pm on Monday, according to the New York Police Department.
She was stabbed only hours after the man dropped off his laundry.
The man left his load around 7am and returned in the afternoon and stabbed the worker in fury, the laundromat owner told NBC New York.
She was stabbed multiple times and was transported to Lutheran Medical in serious but stable condition, police said. The 50-year-old victim’s identity was not immediately released.
The suspect fled on foot. He was described as wearing a gray shirt and white sneakers.
No arrest had been made as of Monday evening.
