Jon Richardson has agreed to a whopping seven-figure payout to his wife Lucy Beaumont, months after announcing their split.

Hullraisers writer Lucy, 41, and 8 Out of 10 Cats star Jon, 42, revealed earlier this year that they were divorcing after nine years of marriage.

They’ve since said little about their split, though it has now been revealed that Jon has bought shares from her after their separation.

In June, Lucy stepped down as a director of their company, This Guy At Night Limited.

Jon then paid her £1,625,000 for her shares last month, and paid a further £8125 in Stamp Duty costs, according to documents on Companies House.

Documents from late last year reveal the shareholder funds stood at more than £3,950,000, a rise from £3,057,000 from the year before.

Jon remains sole director of their company now, having been appointed in 2014, with Lucy joining three years later.

The couple, who starred in a series following the chaos of their marital lives, titled Meet The Richardsons, married in 2015, and welcomed their daughter the following year.

Announcing their split in April in a joint statement, they said: ‘After 9 years of marriage, we would like to announce that we have separated.

‘We have jointly and amicably made the difficult decision to divorce and go our separate ways.

‘As our only priority is managing this difficult transition for our daughter, we would ask that our privacy is respected at this sensitive time to protect her well-being.

‘We will be making no further comment.’

Last year, Jon and Lucy told Metro.co.uk about the ‘intensity’ of working together, with Taskmaster star Jon saying: ‘To give us some credit, I think we are really good at what is quite an intense thing you know, working together on a project that does take the full year to write the series film the series, edit it and promote it.

‘We’re always working on it and to balance that amongst still maintaining a private life isn’t easy, and I think we’re really good at it.

‘There’s times obviously it’s difficult because marriage is difficult anyway, you know, I could be a dentist and you know, Lucy could be a teacher and marriage is just difficult.

‘So this extra element doesn’t make it any easier. But I do think we’re actually quite good.’
