Adam Schefter did his best Jason Kelce impression during his appearance on “Monday Night Countdown” to the delight of host Scott Van Pelt and the former Eagles center.
The “Monday Night Countdown” crew erupted in laughter when the NFL insider appeared on the screen in a full Mummers costume, similar to the one that Kelce had worn during the Eagles Super Bowl parade in 2018.
Kelce went viral thanks to the outfit and his impassioned speech that February day back in 2018.
“He went full Mummer,” Van Pelt exclaimed as the laughter continued.
“Listen, if we’re going to be back in Jason’s city we’re going to do this the right way,” Scheffter said. “Right! So if we’re going to talk about the tush push in Jason’s city we might as well wear the look to make it work.”
Kelce told Schefter, “you look good.”
The former NFL lineman is in his first season as a part of the “Monday Night Countdown” crew and Kelce’s second appearance came ahead of the Monday night showdown between the Falcons and Eagles, where he played all 13 years of his NFL career.
“This has been such a part of your history here,” Schefter said referring to the outfit. “The tush push has been such a part of your history and I’ll say this, I have a little idea of what you felt like when you walked out in the parade. Cause when I walked into the stadium, I must have got some of the same reaction you got walking up to that podium in Philadelphia.”
Schefter added the biggest difference was that Kelce had a Super Bowl ring.
Kelce was clearly excited to be back in his adopted home of Philly for “Monday Night Football,” which could clearly be seen by the videos of the former Eagles player enjoying himself at the tailgates around Lincoln Financial Field.
