Car torched in Montreal North

Emergency services were dispatched to Maurice-Duplessis Blvd. around 2:30 a.m.

Montreal police are seeking at least one suspect after a car was torched early Monday in Montreal North.

Emergency services were dispatched to Maurice-Duplessis Blvd. around 2:30 a.m. after the burning vehicle was reported to authorities.

The fire was quickly extinguished.

“According to our preliminary information, at least one suspect set fire to the vehicle and fled before the arrival of police,” said Montreal police spokesperson Antony Dorélas.

A crime scene was set up at the site of the incident and the vehicle was eventually towed away for further analysis. There were no arrests reported by sunrise Monday.
